We believe in transparency and in using these funds to make a positive impact. Here’s exactly how we will prioritise the proceeds from our affiliate links:

1. Maintaining This Blog

Running An Expat in India comes with the following costs:

  • Hosting on Bluehost.in:
    • Choice Plus Web Hosting for 36 months (starting June 2024): ₹11,852
  • Domain Name Registration with GoDaddy:
    • anexpatinindia.com and anexpatinindia.in for 3 years: ₹4,770

2. Supporting Vision India and Therapeutic Crafting with Varanasi Beads

Sinead has supported Vision India for almost as long as we have been here. It is one of the International Club of Bangalore’s amazing charities.

Vision India is a residential facility near Whitefield, for mentally ill, destitute women whose primary goal is the psycho-social rehabilitation of vagrant / wandering  women found on the streets.

We supply the glass beads which we’ve sourced from Varanasi which are used in their therapeutic sessions whilst also generating a modest additional revenue stream. These sessions empower individuals, fostering creativity and mental well-being. A byproduct is that they can also generate a modest additional revenue stream as can be seen here: Vision India Media

We hope that, over time, support from affiliate links in anexpatinindia.com may sustain a level of support after we’ve left India.

3. Launching “Aspire” in Bengaluru Schools

Education and empowerment are at the core of our values. We aim to launch “Aspire” in Bengaluru schools located in underprivileged areas. This program focuses on equipping children with vital interview skills, boosting their confidence, and opening doors to future opportunities.
